The writ petition filed by Resham Lal Chaudhary, the patron of the Civil Liberation Party Nepal, against the cancellation of his candidacy has been rescheduled for hearing.
Chaudhary's writ petition has been scheduled for hearing before a joint bench of Supreme Court Justices Nahakul Subedi and Abdul Aziz Musalman.
The writ petition against the cancellation of candidacy has been listed first for hearing. Earlier, on Magh 11, a single bench of Justice Bal Krishna Dhakal had ordered a written response from the Election Commission on the writ petition filed by Chaudhary. It also summoned both parties to discuss the interim order.
On Magh 15, a joint bench of Justices Bal Krishna Dhakal and Nripadhwaj Niraula had earlier ordered the submission of the judgment file related to the manslaughter case as per the previous order. After completing the work as per the previous order and receiving the file, the submission was scheduled for hearing today for the interim order.
