His 97-year-old father Bhoj Prasad Bhattarai passed away this morning.
According to his granddaughter Manushi Yami Bhattarai, he passed away during treatment at the Neuro Hospital in Bansbari.
Bhattarai will be cremated today at the electric crematorium at Pashupati Aryaghat, Manushi also mentioned. ‘We are going to the hospital now,’ she told Kantipur , ‘Now we will take him to Pashupati.’
Bhattarai’s health had deteriorated significantly in the past few days. He was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday.
