The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has summoned Chaudhary, who is also the chairperson of the school management committee, for a statement after receiving a complaint of corruption in the construction of a building in collusion.
The commission wrote to Dakneshwari Municipality on Tuesday and asked them to appear. According to the letter, Chaudhary, the chairperson of the Shrikant Chandra Model Secondary School Management Committee located in the same municipality-5, has been asked to appear at the Commission's Investigation Branch No. 4(b) at 10 am on Friday.
Amarkant is the son of former MP Chandrakant Chaudhary. Amarkant, who entered politics from the then Rastriya Janata Party (RJP), recently joined the Rashtriya Janata Party (RJP) and filed his candidacy from it.
Amarkant and the then chairpersons of the school management committee are Ramsagar Mandal, Satendra Kumar Mandal, Runchi Devi Sada, Kabita Singh, Shyamala Devi Mandal, Dukharan Mandal, Subhash Kumar Sah and Yogendra Prasad Mehta.
