President Ram Chandra Poudel has expressed the view that Nepalis living in Japan are making a significant contribution to the social development of Nepal, including the Nepali economy.
President Poudel, who is on an official visit to Japan, made the remarks while addressing a reception organized by the Nepali Embassy here on Tuesday. 'I expect that in the coming days, you will make further contributions to realizing the dream of a prosperous Nepal by utilizing the knowledge, skills, capital and technology acquired here at home,' President Poudel said.
He said that the Nepalese government is committed to addressing the interests, concerns and concerns of the Nepali community involved in various professions and activities in Japan and to resolving the problems they are facing. He said that as Nepal has adopted a federal democratic republican system of governance, it is necessary to move the country forward at a high pace on the path to fulfilling the aspirations of sustainable peace, good governance, development and prosperity. President Poudel emphasized that effective service delivery should be guaranteed to the people by keeping transparency, accountability, participation and the rule of law at the center in the operation of the state.
'The youth movement in Nepal has further raised the demand for good governance. Therefore, he expressed his confidence that Nepalis living abroad will play their role in making the upcoming election successful. Stating that the 70th anniversary of Nepal-Japan diplomatic relations is a historic moment, he said that since Japan is an important and reliable development partner in the social and economic development of Nepal, we want to benefit further from Japan's experience, knowledge, skills and technology in many areas including industrial development, agriculture, hydropower, infrastructure. He recalled that Japanese cooperation in the areas of human resource development, health, agricultural development, infrastructure development, environmental protection, culture, etc. is remarkable.

He said that Nepal and Japan have had deep socio-cultural relations inspired by the teachings of Gautam Buddha and that Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, has increased the attraction towards Nepal. 'I am confident that you will play an important role as informal ambassadors in further increasing the number of Japanese tourists visiting Nepal for cultural, religious and tourism purposes,' said President Poudel.
He expressed confidence that the presence of the Nepali community in Japan is a significant aspect of bilateral relations and that the Nepali community will always contribute significantly to the prosperity of Japan through its heritage, integrity and unity, thereby raising the image of Nepal to new heights.
