The Election Commission has accelerated the work of printing voter lists and ballot papers targeting the upcoming elections. At a regular press conference organized by the Commission on Sunday, Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai informed that the work of printing ballot papers and voter lists has been accelerated.

The printing of ballot papers for the proportional representation has been completed, while the printing of ballot papers for the direct representation has begun. He informed that so far, the printing of 3 million ballot papers for 25 districts under the direct representation has been completed.

Spokesperson Bhattarai informed that the printing of 28.3 million ballot papers required for the proportional representation has been completed. According to him, the printing of ballot papers for the direct representation has started since last week. The commission has stated that out of about 20 million ballot papers for the direct representation, 17 million remain to be printed.

According to the commission, 12 to 15 million ballot papers are being printed daily. He said that the printing of the voter list will also be completed in the coming week.
