A person has been killed by a khukuri attack in Ikhambu, Chainpur Municipality-10, Sankhuwasabha.
Police Inspector Meghraj Aryal of the District Police Office informed that 47-year-old Lila Prasad Rai was killed by a khukuri attack in Ikhumbu, Chainpur-10.
Police Inspector Aryal said that Lila Prasad died after being attacked with a khukuri by his neighbor, 59-year-old Shiva Kumar Rai, this afternoon. According to him, after a dispute over cattle eating grass escalated, Shiva Kumar hit Lila Prasad with a khukuri on his chest, killing him on the spot.
A team including Police Inspector Parshuram Rai of the Area Police Office, Chainpur, reached the spot immediately after the incident. Police have taken Shiva Kumar, who attacked him with a khukuri, under control and an investigation has been launched. The body of the deceased has been taken to the Primary Health Center, Chainpur for an autopsy. The District Police Office has stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
