On the occasion of Martyrs' Day, she has expressed her heartfelt tribute to all the martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives for civil freedom and democracy in her message issued today.
The message states, 'Today, the country is standing at a historic turning point of change because of their courage, awareness and determination. May no mother's lap be empty again. I also pay tribute to the brave warriors who were martyred in the Genji Movement, which arose in the hope of justice, equality, responsible governance and a bright future.'
