Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has died in a plane crash. The plane he was travelling in crashed in Baramati.

According to Indian media, the plane crashed while landing at Baramati airport.

According to Hindustan Times , Pawar was going to Baramati from Mumbai in a private plane. The plane skidded off the runway while landing at Baramati.

Ajit was on the plane along with his personal assistant, security personnel and flight crew members. All the passengers were reported to have died.
