The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against five people, including the then Acting Chief Administrative Officer of Bajhang Bitthadchir Rural Municipality, Ramesh Bahadur Bista. The CIAA registered the case in the Special Court on Wednesday.

A case has been registered against the chairman of the Sunkuda Secondary School Management Committee within the municipality, including the chairman of the management committee, Ramesh Bahadur, the acting chief administrative officer, Ramesh Bahadur, the chairman of the management committee of Sunkuda Secondary School, Ramesh Bahadur Adhikari, the principal, Dhan Bahadur Bista, the accountant, Harka Bahadur Bista, and the sub-engineer of the rural municipality, Kiran Bhandari.

A claim of Rs 2.654 lakh has been made against Ramesh Bahadur Adhikari, Dhan Bahadur and Harka Bahadur, and Rs 2 million has been claimed against Ramesh Bahadur Bista and sub-engineer, Kiran.
