The Supreme Court has refuted rumors that a hearing has been scheduled for the writ petition filed seeking the restoration of Parliament. Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Koirala has clarified that no hearing has been scheduled for the case against the dissolution so far.
"I would like to inform you that the news that has been circulating online that the writ petition against the dissolution of Parliament has been scheduled to be filed on Magh 20 is not correct. The 20th is the general date," Koirala said. 17 writ petitions for the restoration of Parliament are pending in the Supreme Court. The Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML have also filed writ petitions.
