Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane has been admitted to the hospital. Lamichhane is undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj after sustaining an injury to his left leg during a program organized in Janakpur on Magh 20 and developing an infection.
Lamichhane's personal secretary Abinash Acharya gave this information on Tuesday. 'The minor injury sustained by President Ravi Lamichhane on his left leg during a program held in Janakpur on Magh 5 has progressed over time and has now become an infection in the inner layer of the skin. According to the tests and advice of doctors at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, since this type of infection can be risky, it is mandatory to keep him under the supervision of a doctor for a few days in the hospital. Accordingly, the President is currently undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj,' Acharya said.
Lamichhane will not be appearing in public programs immediately. Acharya informed that doctors have advised Lamichhane to return to regular work only after he fully recovers. 'Although the injury itself is not serious, keeping in mind the possibility of the infection spreading, it is informed that he will return to regular political and organizational campaigns only after complete treatment and improvement in health,' Acharya said.
Lamichhane had not been seen in public programs after registering his nomination for the House of Representatives from Chitwan-2. After that, there was increased interest in his whereabouts, and personal secretary Acharya informed that President Lamichhane was undergoing treatment.
