Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has said that he is going to Madhes to unite the country. Addressing the voters of Kathmandu-4, Thapa released a video message on Monday and said that he is going to Madhes to unite the country.

President Thapa says that the situation of one part of the country should be told in another place. 'I am going to Madhes because I want to connect the country. I want to take the stories of Kathmandu to Madhes. And I also want to bring the stories of Madhes, the pains of Madhes, and the sufferings of Madhes to Kathmandu and tell them. I believe that the respect of Nepalis will remain with us only when everyone is respected,' Thapa said. 'I do not believe in the politics of incitement, but I do not believe that there will be unity among everyone without authority.'

President Thapa, who was elected from Kathmandu-4 in the 2070 Constituent Assembly election, 2074 and 2079 House of Representatives elections, has become a candidate from Sarlahi-4 in the upcoming Falgun 21 election.

Thapa says that he is going to Sarlahi to expand relations with Madhes even though the voters of Kathmandu-4 have urged him not to leave the constituency this time.

'I have just become the party president from the special general convention. This time, the party friends told me that I should not leave the constituency under any circumstances. But while I am fulfilling one of the responsibilities of the Congress party, I have a strong desire to further strengthen relations with Madhes,' Thapa said, 'My friends from Sarlahi constituency number 4 called me with love. I am going there. While representing Madhes and understanding the issues there, while I am taking the initiative to solve them, I am confident that I can play a big role in solving the issues of the entire Nepal.'

Thapa says that he has reached the decision to go to Sarlahi from Kathmandu to connect with Madhes. The Nepali Congress has fielded Sachin Timilsina as its candidate in Kathmandu-4.

President Thapa, who registered his nomination through Wares on Magh 6, reached Sarlahi-4 on Monday.
