President Ram Chandra Poudel, Prime Minister Sushila Karki and others performed the spring Shrawan at a special ceremony organized at Nasal Chowk in Hanuman Dhoka Durbar this morning on the occasion of Sri Panchami (Vasant Panchami).
On that occasion, the chief priest of Hanumandhoka Care Station offered Abhishek, Tika, Mala and Phulprasad to President Poudel. President Poudel worshipped Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, while a contingent of the Nepali Army offered a salute in his honor.
The ceremony was attended by First Lady Sabita Poudel, Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, National Assembly Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal, ministers, heads of constitutional bodies, acting chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Sunita Dangol and other dignitaries.
