The National Federation of Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs, an umbrella organization of transport entrepreneurs across the country, has demanded that potholes on the national highway be filled before the election to facilitate vehicular movement.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Federation General Secretary Deknath Gautam said that since the heavy traffic on highways will increase during the upcoming House of Representatives elections on Falgun 21, potholes should be filled to facilitate traffic movement.

The Federation stated that the roads across the country, including the Narayangadh-Butwal road section, Naubise-Muglin road section, BP Highway, are still narrow and potholes, making it difficult for public transport operators to operate public vehicles across the country.

Since it takes a long time for public transporters and voters to reach their destinations during the election, the Federation has requested that arrangements be made to ensure smooth movement of public vehicles.
