The government has extended the deadline for the inquiry commission formed to investigate the physical and human damage caused during the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24, 2082, by 20 days.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Thursday. Speaking to media persons after the meeting, government spokesperson and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal said that the government has also accepted a grant of two million US dollars from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank for the preparation of the Siddhartha Highway Butwal-Pokhara road section improvement project.
Following the resignation of Jagdish Kharel, who was the Minister of Communications, the government has appointed Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal as the spokesperson of the Government of Nepal.
