The hearing on the petition filed by Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, who is being held in the fake Bhutanese refugee case, demanding his release from detention, has been postponed.

The petition filed in the Patan High Court was scheduled to be presented before a bench of Justices Keshav Prasad Bastola and Deepak Kumar Kharel on Sunday. However, the Patan High Court has said that it was postponed after Rayamajhi filed a petition seeking time to hire a lawyer.

Rayamajhi was previously sent to detention by the Kathmandu District Court . He had appealed to the Supreme Court against this. But all the courts had upheld the decision to keep him in detention. After the district refused to release him on bail, he had reached the Patan High Court.

In the House of Representatives elections to be held on 21 Falgun, the UML had filed a re-petition after recommending him from Arghakhanchi.
