The Election Commission has established the Office of the Election Code of Conduct Implementation and Election Officer.
In preparation for the upcoming election of members of the House of Representatives to be held on Falgun 21, the Commission has established the offices of the Chief Electoral Officer in all 77 districts and the offices of the Election Officer in 88 constituencies, informed Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, spokesperson of the Commission.
The Commission has also held discussions with the political parties registered for the purpose of participating in the election of members of the House of Representatives-2082 regarding the implementation of the Election Code of Conduct, 2082.
The political parties participating in the program have expressed their commitment to honestly comply with the election-related laws including the Constitution of Nepal, Election Commission Act, 2073, Political Parties Act, 2073, Election (Offences and Punishment) Act, 2073, Election of Members of the House of Representatives Act, 2074, National Assembly Election Act, 2075 and Election Code of Conduct, 2082.
