Five people died on the spot when a bus bearing the registration number Ko 1 Kha 7119, bearing the name International Thames Academy, travelling from Bhedetar to Dharan, lost control and crashed.
Five people were killed in a bus accident at Zero Point in Dharan on Sunday afternoon at 4:15 pm. Twelve others were injured in the accident.
Five people died on the spot when a bus bearing the number KO 1 ख 7119 bearing the name International Thames Academy, which was coming from Bhedetar towards Dharan on the Koshi Highway in Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-13, lost control and crashed.
Five passengers died on the spot when the bus crashed into the New Sabha Medical Hall located in the shutters of the Shree Krishna Pranami Temple, informed Sunsari Police Chief SP Keshav Thebe. The identity of the deceased has not been revealed. The injured are being treated at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan, according to the police. Thebe informed that a 20-member team under the command of Dharan DSP Bhishan Babu Rai is conducting rescue and investigation at the spot.
