He is going to resign from the National Assembly after the NCP candidate for the House of Representatives in Bardiya Constituency No. 1.
On Saturday morning in Gulariya, he said that he is going to resign because he is not allowed to be a candidate for the House of Representatives as a National Assembly member.
The then UML vice-chairman Bamdev Gautam, who had been in the election fray continuously from Bardiya Constituency No. 1 since 2048, was defeated by former Congress president and former irrigation minister Sanjay Kumar Gautam in 2074. After that, he has not become a candidate from this constituency.
Gautam, who is doing politics from Bardiya-1, has not been a candidate for the House of Representatives in Bardiya since 2074. He has now become active in Bardiya politics again. Leader Gautam has been busy meeting voters of Bardiya-1 for the past two days. Gautam said that he will go to Kathmandu on Saturday to resign from the National Assembly.
Gautam's close cadre Atiq Ahmad Eraki said that he met voters in some places in Basgadhi and Gulariya municipalities and Badhaiyatal rural municipality of Bardiya-1.
