UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has commented that the Attorney General's Office has become a stain on history by withdrawing the case of Rastriya Swatantra Party President Rabi Lamichhane.

At the 42nd Piskar Martyr Memorial Day program organized in Kathmandu on Thursday, Chairman Oli said that the rule of law and order is not in the country, saying that the same rule is being followed in Nepal as in the rest of the world.

He made a sarcastic comment saying that there is no good governance and order in the country now, and that even if someone is cheated, the case will be changed or a general amnesty will be given. ‘Today, it is not the rule of law and order, but a rule like the one whose stick is the buffalo of his own has been established in Nepal as well. The Attorney General’s office has been tarnished for history. It has become a matter of shame.’

Will the Attorney General’s office pay the money cheated by withdrawing Ravi’s case? He asked.

He also accused the party’s leaders of coming out in support of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur during the Gen-G rebellion when he was physically attacked. "If anyone talks about the Nepali government, Nepali culture, Nepali economy and Nepali civilization, they are not allowed to leave their homes, they are killed, beaten and chopped," he said. "82-year-old leader and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba was physically attacked. Can society be so rude? Those who claim to be leaders of his own party shouted in support, no one spoke in opposition. They did not even express sympathy, where has Nepal come to?"
