The bus found on the banks of the Trishuli River in Dundrangbesi, Abunkhaireni Rural Municipality-5, Tanahun, is set to be excavated today as well.

The remains of a bus that fell into the Trishuli River after being swept away by a landslide on the Narayangadh-Muglin road section were excavated on Sunday. 

Nepal Police and Armed Police Force had excavated the bus all day on Sunday. The District Police Office, Tanahun, has stated that the work will continue today as well. According to the District Police Office, Tanahun, at 10:45 am, some of the front part of a bus was found buried on the banks of the Trishuli River. 

The bus may be a bus with the number plate 'Ganapati Deluxe', Bagmati Province 03-001Kh2495, which was going from Kathmandu to Gaur in the Simaltal area under Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29 of Chitwan on Asad 28, 2081, informed Shravan Kumar BK, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Tanahun.

As soon as the information was received, a team of two people led by a Deputy Inspector of Police from the Area Police Office, Sarangghat, and a team of 12 people led by a Police Inspector from the Area Police Office, Abunkhaireni, have been deployed to the scene.

Although the bus was found buried on the river bank at the scene, it has not been fully confirmed, Pranau BK said. The police said that the work of excavating the buried bus and further investigation is currently underway.
