The government has appointed journalist Govinda Prasad Bhandari (Akhanda Bhandari) as the executive chairman of Gorkhapatra Sansthan.
The cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to hand over the leadership of the institute to Bhandari.
According to Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel, Bhandari has been appointed to the vacant post of chairman of the institute.
The cabinet decision states, 'It has been decided to appoint Shri Govinda Prasad Bhandari, Bhaktapur, to the vacant post of chairman of the Gorkhapatra Institute.'
He was previously working as the editor-in-chief of the Annapurna Post daily.
