Election training: Officers from all seven provinces are preparing simultaneously

The Election Commission is set to provide training to the Chief Returning Officer and Returning Officers deputed for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.

For this, orientation training will be conducted at various locations on Poush 28 and 29.  Orientation training is being conducted at a total of four locations - Kathmandu, Chitwan, Biratnagar and Nepalgunj - for election officers and election officers under seven provinces, informed Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai.

Commission officials and concerned employees have been assigned to conduct the training by dividing the work. The training has been completed to prepare chief trainers, and the Commission plans to conduct additional training for those trainers. After receiving the training, the election officers will establish offices in their respective constituencies and start working from Magh 2. 

The Commission, in consultation with the Judicial Council, has already appointed 77 district judges as chief election officers and 88 gazetted second-class officers of the judicial service as election officers.
