Former minister and Nepali Congress leader Homnath Dahal has passed away. Dahal, who was also the former president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, passed away on Friday evening at the age of 87.
His family members said that he passed away on Friday evening while being taken to Bir Hospital for treatment from his residence in Maitidevi. He had been suffering from asthma and other diseases for a long time. His wife Sudha Dahal is undergoing treatment at Bir Hospital.
Dahal, who fought for democracy and press freedom, is also the former president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists. Dahal, a campaigner for BP Vichar, was also an MP and minister from Okhaldhunga. Dahal has two sons, Dr. Sudhamshu Dahal and Himamshu.
