The Central Working Committee meeting has passed a condolence resolution on the death of Dahal and expressed condolences to his family and relatives.
The Nepali Congress has decided to lower the party flag for three days (February 26, 27 and 28) in honor of former central member, spokesperson, former minister and senior journalist Homanath Dahal.
The Central Working Committee meeting held today under the chairmanship of Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka decided to fly the flags at half-mast at the central, provincial and district offices. It has also been decided that all offices will be closed on Poush 27 and a condolence book will be kept in the central, provincial and district offices for 13 days of the ascension. In addition, a condolence meeting will be organized on the 13th day in the respective district of Okhaldhunga.
Dahal passed away in Kathmandu at the age of 84 on Friday . The Central Working Committee has passed a condolence resolution on his death and expressed condolences to his family and relatives.
Dahal was the former president of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, editor and publisher of Rashtrapukar Weekly and former chairman of Gorkhapatra Sansthan.
His contribution to the democratic movement is memorable. He had spent several years in prison and was elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Okhaldhunga district in the 2056 general election. He also held the position of Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives.
