Ganga Bahadur Darnal of Bagwati, Katari Municipality-6, Udayapur, was found abandoned in Delhi four months after flying to Dubai for foreign employment. Darnal was rescued by Foreign Employment Rescue Nepal and is currently being treated at a teaching hospital in Kathmandu.
After an Indian citizen made Darnal's condition public on social media, Rescue Nepal immediately rescued him and brought him to Nepal for treatment, informed Rescue Nepal Chairman Indralal Gole.
Although he had not been contacted after leaving for Dubai for foreign employment, the airline had informed that he had been hospitalized in Delhi due to health problems when he inquired about it in the manpower department. But family sources had informed that he was not found when he was searched in the hospital.
Since Darnal's financial condition is weak, Ward Chairman Prem Magar said that he had completed the necessary procedures for free treatment from the ward and had recommended it to the city.
'Even when efforts were made to search for him after he went missing, he was not found,' Ward Chairman Magar said, 'After it was made public on social media that he was stranded in Delhi, he was rescued and brought to Nepal for treatment.'
Darnal, who was found in a neglected condition, was found with his toe cut off. Ward Chairman Magar also said that it is still unclear whether Darnal, who had flown to Dubai for foreign employment, was lost while transiting through India or how he ended up stranded in Delhi.
