According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 19 disaster incidents occurred across the country from 10:00 am on December 23 to Thursday morning.
Of these, 15 were fire incidents. A total of 48 people were injured in the disaster and one person died. A total of Rs 1 million 12 thousand was lost due to the disaster.
According to the authority, fires have broken out in two places in Sunsari, Siraha, Sarlahi, and Rautahat. Fires broke out in Bara, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Achham, and Dadeldhura, causing forest fires in Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Myadi, Rukumpur, and Kalikot. Animal attacks occurred in Udayapur, Rautahat, Surkhet, and Doti.
Similarly, 19 disaster incidents occurred across the country from the morning of Poush 22 to the 23. Out of these, 17 fire incidents occurred. A total of 24 disaster incidents occurred across the country from the morning of Poush 21 to the morning of Poush 22. Out of these, 18 fire incidents occurred.
Fire incidents have increased due to various reasons during the winter season. The NEA has stated that the number of fire incidents has increased due to the failure to take precautions. There have been cases of electrical short circuits, accidental fires in straw piles, and fires in barns without taking general precautions. The NEA has urged people to take precautions, extinguish fires after they start, and not store flammable materials haphazardly.
