Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban Development Kulman Ghising has submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Sushila Karki. He met with Prime Minister Karki in Baluwatar and submitted his resignation letter on Wednesday evening.
Prime Minister Karki congratulated and thanked Ghising for providing efficient leadership to three important ministries for three and a half months, his secretariat said.
‘You have joined this government in a very adverse situation and done a great service for the country,’ Prime Minister Karki said, ‘You worked day and night without saying goodbye. You reached different parts of the country. You remained equally active during disasters. You reached the disaster-affected areas yourself and worked. You took tough steps against the shortcomings of our development and construction. The country will remember this. The people will evaluate it.’
‘You did not come with your own desires or with any self-interest. We invited you. Moreover, the Gen-G youth demanded you. We brought you in so that you would be allowed to enter politics after the elections. You served selflessly without taking any facilities,’ Prime Minister Karki said while presenting Ghising with a khada as a token of respect, ‘In the coming days, you will be able to do even greater work for the country. I would like to congratulate you for this right now.’
Minister Ghising expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for providing him with the opportunity to work during the interim period.
