Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kulman Ghising has resigned.
Minister Ghising, who also holds the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development, reached Baluwatar on Wednesday evening and submitted his resignation letter to Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
After returning from Baluwatar, he will hold a press conference at the Ministry of Energy to make his views on the resignation public.
After questions were repeatedly raised from the public after the ministers of the civilian government formed under the leadership of Prime Minister Sushila Karki with the mandate to hold elections became active in party politics, Prime Minister Karki herself named ministers Kulman Ghising, Jagdish Kharel and Bablu Gupta in a cabinet meeting and asked for their resignations.
