The National Human Rights Commission has recorded the statement of Rabi Lamichhane, President of the National Independent Party.

The commission, which is investigating the incidents of 23 and 24 Bhadra, summoned Lamichhane to the commission on Wednesday and recorded his statement. The commission asked questions ranging from 'Why did you leave Nakkhu Prison on the 24th?' and 'When did you return?' to the impact of prisoners leaving the prison.

The commission is studying the incidents that took place during the Gen-G movement led by Lily Thapa. In the process, the commission has already recorded the statements of the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra Shah.

According to commission sources, Lamichhane reached the commission at 1 pm to give his statement and left at around 3 pm after completing his statement. The commission is in the final stage of its investigation.
