The name of CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has been single-handedly recommended from Jhapa Constituency No. 5 for the upcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on 21 Falgun.

The party's regional committee meeting held on Saturday recommended Chairman Oli's single name as the direct candidate.

UML Jhapa Secretary Tulsi Karki said that Chairman Oli's name was unanimously recommended for Jhapa-5. Jhapa 5 is Oli's home constituency. He was elected from the same constituency in the 2079 and 2074 elections.

Similarly, there has been a strong demand for Chairman Oli's name to be recommended in Jhapa-3 as well. 'All the members present are saying that if the central chairman stands up, he can win. Everyone is unanimous on this,' said UML Koshi Province Advisory Committee member Madhav Bidhoori.
