The Hydrology and Meteorology Forecasting Division has stated that as the partial influence of the westerly wind continues across the country, most places in the Terai region will experience mist and fog this afternoon, while some provinces will experience partial cloudiness.
Currently, most places in the Terai are covered with fog. According to the division, it is partially cloudy in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while it is expected to be partially cloudy in Lumbini province, Karnali, Sudurpaschim and the rest of the high hilly and mountainous areas.
Similarly, the division has forecast that there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The fog will persist in some places in the Terai region tonight. It will be partially cloudy in the high hilly and mountainous areas including Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the weather is expected to be mainly clear in the rest of the country. In addition, there may be light rain or snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The Meteorological Forecasting Division has warned that the impact of fog in the Terai region may partially affect daily life, health and road transport. The Division has requested the general public to adopt necessary precautions and get information about the updated meteorological information issued daily.
