The then Home Minister Lekhak was going to give a statement to the commission regarding the incident of Bhadra 23-24.

The then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak is scheduled to give a statement today to the Commission of Inquiry formed to investigate the incidents of 23 and 24 Bhadau.

 

Home Minister Lekhak, who is accused of using force in the Gen-G movement, is going to give a statement at the commission's office in Singhadbar at 12 noon. After the statement, he has scheduled a program to inform journalists about the statement at the Congress Parliamentary Party office in Singhadurbar at 2 pm. 

The inquiry commission formed under the leadership of former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki has completed its work.  The commission had earlier taken statements from the heads of security agencies and heads of administrative agencies.

It had taken statements from the then Home Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadi, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, and others. Similarly,  Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel and IGP Chandrakuber Khapung have also taken statements. 

The commission, which was initially given three months, was last extended by one month by the government. The commission will have to submit a report to the government by the first week of Magh.
