There is a partial effect of westerly winds across the country. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, there will be mist/fog in most places in the Terai region this afternoon.

The hilly and mountainous areas of the country will remain partly cloudy. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. 

Similarly, it will be foggy in most places in the Terai region tonight. The weather will remain partly cloudy in the mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces, while the rest of the weather will remain mainly clear. There is a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki province, according to a press release issued by the division.

The division has requested people to be vigilant as the effect of fog/fog in the Terai region is seen to affect daily life, health, road and air transport.
