The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balendra (Balen) Shah reached a 7-point agreement on Sunday morning. Balen has joined the RSWP as the prime ministerial candidate in the upcoming elections, while Rabi Lamichhane will be the party president.
The agreement letter states that Balen will be the prime ministerial candidate and the leader of the parliamentary party from the House of Representatives elections to be held after Falgun 21. After the agreement that Balen will be the prime ministerial candidate from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the leader of the party's parliamentary party in the upcoming parliament, there is a question about what will happen to his priority in the RSS.
The current ranking of the RSS after President Lamichhane is Vice President DP Aryal and Swarnim Wagle. Vice President Aryal said that the ranking of the RSS will be decided in the coming days at a meeting of the party's central committee. In response to the question whether there has been a discussion about giving Balen Shah the second priority? Vice President Aryal said, 'We came into politics to sacrifice anything for the sake of the nation, nationality and people's livelihood. That is why such dignity and roles do not matter to us. It has no value. The value is what we deliver, the value is what the people value. The issue you mentioned is that there is a central committee of the National Independent Party, and discussions are held there. It is something that happens there. This is not something that I want or someone wants. Earlier, after Swarnim Wagle joined the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, he was placed in the priority after Aryal, the party's founding vice president.
Similarly, Vice President Aryal said that discussions are underway with Ujjaya Nepal about party unity. He said that talks are underway with all the leaders of Naya Shakti, including Minister and Ujjaya Nepal's patron Ghising, for unity. He also said that capable people will be included in the party and candidates will be made in the upcoming elections.
