The Prime Minister's Secretariat has stated that they expressed their commitment to participate in the election during a discussion held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar on Saturday at the invitation of Prime Minister Sushila Karki. After the meeting, Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said, 'All political parties are ready to participate in the election. Nepali Congress is also ready. UML is also ready. Other parties are also ready. The government should create a security environment.'
UML President and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal have also expressed their commitment to participate in the election during the discussion, the Secretariat has stated.
During the discussion, Prime Minister Karki had urged the major political parties to make the upcoming House of Representatives member election successful under different circumstances. She urged them to participate in the election and make it successful.
The upcoming House of Representatives member election is being held on Falgun 21.
