Prime Minister Sushila Karki is set to hold discussions with top leaders of the major political parties. According to government spokesperson and Minister for Communications Jagdish Kharel, the Prime Minister is set to hold discussions with top leaders of the three parties on Saturday.

Kharel informed that Prime Minister Karki is going to hold discussions with top leaders in Baluwatar on Saturday for final preparations for the election and further coordination between the parties.

Earlier, Prime Minister Karki had held discussions with Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal at Sheetal Niwas under the mediation of President Ram Chandra Poudel.

To create an environment for the election, government spokesperson Kharel had reached Deuba, Oli and Dahal at their residences on Friday and held discussions.

After meeting with the top leaders of the three parties, Minister of Communications Kharel had clarified that the upcoming election scheduled for Falgun 21 will be held on time and all political parties will participate in it. Informing that the government is continuously moving forward with talks and discussions with political parties as it has the desire and determination to hold the election of members of the House of Representatives on the scheduled date, he mentioned that the government has taken initiatives to create an environment for the election, and to ensure the election by visiting the door-to-door of party office leaders on an all-party, all-sided and individual basis.

Minister for Communications Kharel said, 'The government is taking initiatives to create an environment for the election. The top leaders of the three major parties have a clear view that the election should be held during the meeting. Therefore, the election will be held on Falgun 21 and all parties will participate. On behalf of the Congress, the President has said that the election is a priority and not rehabilitation. The coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party has said that there is no alternative to the election and the UML President has also shown interest in creating an environment for the election.'

Stating that there have been dialogues and meetings with all parties, all-party and main political parties, Kharel said, 'During the meetings, talks have been held between the party and the leader's office and the leader's house.' Stating that the current government is committed to holding elections on the scheduled date, he clarified that the government's important tasks are good governance and corruption control, as well as holding elections on high priority.
