The Passport Department will now provide passports within two working days. Stating that a total of 396,000 passports have been printed and supplied, the department has stated that they will be provided to those who need them immediately.
According to the department, it was previously decided to provide seven hundred thousand passport booklets for the interim period.
With the supply of passport booklets, the department has supplied passports at full capacity. With the supply of passport booklets, the department will personalize passports at full capacity and provide them to those who applied from district, area administration offices and Nepali missions abroad.
Those who applied by Mangsir 15 will be provided with new passports by Poush 15, and thereafter, the department has stated that they will be provided to those who applied gradually.
The department has clarified that due to the passport booklets available for the interim period, the distribution will now be smooth.
