For the upcoming election to be held on Magh 11, seven district judges have been elected as election officers, effective from Poush 15, pursuant to Section 7 of the National Assembly Member Election Act, 2075 BS.
The Election Commission has appointed election officers for all seven provinces for the election of members of the National Assembly.
For the upcoming election to be held on Magh 11, seven district judges have been elected as election officers with effect from Poush 15. According to the commission, Judge Bhishma Raj Prasain of Morang District Court has been appointed as the election officer for the Koshi Province. Similarly, Judge Subhas Babu Puri of Dhanusha District Court has been appointed as the election officer for the Madhesh Province, and Judge Geeta Shrestha of Makawanpur District Court has been appointed as the election officer for the Bagmati Province. According to the commission, Judge Him Lal Belbase of Kaski District Court has been appointed as the election officer for the Gandaki Province, Judge Prakash Prasad Pandit of Dang District Court has been appointed as the election officer for the Lumbini Province, and Judge Deepak Dhakal of Surkhet District Court has been appointed as the election officer for the Karnali Province.
According to the Commission's Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the office of the Election Officer for the Far Western Province has been appointed to Judge Bhuwan Singh Thapa of the Kailali District Court.
The Commission also said that the appointed election officers are scheduled to establish the office of the Election Officer in the Provincial Election Office of the respective province on this Poush 16.
