Meteorologist Hari Prasad Dahal of the department informed that fog and mist were observed in many parts of the country's Terai on Tuesday. He said, 'Since there is no possibility of significant improvement in the next three days, it is expected to affect daily life, health, road and air transport, so everyone is requested to take necessary precautions.'
According to him, the temperature in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning had fallen to 4.9 degrees, the lowest recorded this year. Meteorologist Dahal said that the fog and mist increased further because the westerly wind, which does not have a rain system, has not been able to become active.
Meteorologists have suggested staying warm and eating hot food in such a situation.
In a bulletin issued by the department this evening, it has been informed that mist and fog will prevail in the Koshi Terai region until noon tomorrow, and in the rest of the region throughout the day.
