Police investigating Hayu murder case find another body

Police investigating the murder of 25-year-old Keshav Raj Hayu, a permanent resident of Golanjor Rural Municipality-5 in Sindhuli, have also found the body of his friend in Lalitpur.

The team from the Valley Crime Investigation Office and the District Police Range, Latilpur, found the body of Paruhang Rai, a resident of Bhojpur, in the Lakuri Bhanjyang forest in Latilpur on Monday morning, police said.

SSP Hobindra Bogati, chief of the District Police Range, Lalitpur, confirmed that the body was recovered. Earlier, the police had arrested Hayu's son-in-law and were investigating the murder. The two people arrested along with him had claimed that the murder was committed in connivance with Paruhang.

According to the police, both were preparing to go for foreign employment. Hayu's body was found dumped in a well of an agricultural farm in Lubhu. Paruhang also worked in the same farm.

According to an officer assigned to the investigation, the investigation so far showed that Hayu might have been killed elsewhere and brought there on a motorcycle. "This appears to be a murder committed by two or three people over financial issues," the officer said. "More details will be revealed as soon as more people are arrested."

According to the police, the hammer and clothes used in the murder have been recovered from the room of one of the accused.
