Rashtriya Swatantra Party leader Shishir Khanal has said that it is the responsibility of the government to conduct the election in a fear-free environment. Stating that the government that came to conduct the election has the support of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, Khanal said that the election should be held in a fear-free environment.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki made the remarks at a meeting of political parties, the Election Commission, security agencies and civil society representatives at Singha Durbar on Monday. He said that the main issues in the election are peace, security and publicity. 'The issue of peace and security in the election is the issue of publicity. The government is responsible for ensuring participation in a fearless environment and the security of leaders, parties and candidates,' he said.

Leader Khanal also said that the RSP supports the arrangement of inter-district elections. 'The Election Commission has told the Gen-G representatives that inter-district voting is practically possible. It has been said that political commitment is needed for this. If it is impossible due to political commitment alone, we are ready on behalf of the National Independent Party,' he said.
