The Tulsipur High Court, Butwal bench, has ordered the release of Rastriya Swatantra Party President Ravi Lamichhane on bail, but he will not be released from detention today.
According to the High Court, the complete file with today's order of Rabi will reach the Rupandehi District Court only on Friday.
After that, the District Court will send a letter to Rabi to pay the amount of 28.474 million rupees or a bank guarantee. Rabi is currently detained in Nakkhu Prison in Lalitpur. The release process will begin after Rabi receives the letter. If Lamichhane wants to expedite this process, he can appear in the Rupandehi District Court himself after obtaining an order from the High Court.
Lamichhane will have to give his consent to pay the additional amount to the District Court if he is found guilty according to the law. One of the five conditions of the High Court on Thursday is that he must accept the additional amount in the District Court. For this reason, he will have to appear in the Rupandehi District Court. The court will coordinate with the security for this. After all these processes are completed, Rabi will probably be released on Friday.
