The expenditure on education in the first four months of the current fiscal year, as announced by Nepal Rastra Bank, was Rs 42.96 billion. In the same period of the previous year, the expenditure on education was Rs 32.22 billion. In the four months of the current fiscal year, about Rs 10 billion more was spent on educational activities than in the previous fiscal year.
During the review period, travel expenditure under the service account increased by 16.4 percent to Rs 64.59 billion. In the same period of the previous year, travel expenditure was Rs 55.49 billion.
During the review period, travel income under the service account increased by 8.1 percent to Rs 19.19 billion. Such income was Rs 17.76 billion in the same period of the previous year. Net service income was in deficit by Rs 32.68 billion during the review period. Net service income was in deficit by Rs 23.10 billion during the same period of the previous year.
