The Election Commission has granted permission to 30 organizations, including four international ones, to observe the upcoming House of Representatives elections. The commission had sought applications from organizations interested in observing the House of Representatives elections announced on February 21.

According to the spokesperson of the commission, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, 44 national and 5 international organizations had applied for observation. Out of these, it has been decided to grant permission to observe the election to 4 international and 26 national organizations that have completed the prescribed basis and process. The commission has issued a notice on Monday asking the selected organizations to submit additional documents as per the election observation guidelines within the next 5 days.

The Carter Center, Asian Network for Free Elections, The Multidisciplinary Institute of Training and Learning and the International Republican Institute have received permission to observe. Similarly, among the national organizations, Democracy Resource Center, Nopal Human Rights Organization, Election Observation Committee, Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations, Youth in Federal Debate, Nepal Voter Rights Forum and National Federation of the Disabled have received permission to observe. Similarly, additional organizations that have been granted permission to observe the election include the Federation of Good Governance, National Professional Initiative, Bageshwori Good Governance Club (BAS), Legal Judicial Studies Foundation, Yuvalaya, Unnat Nepal, Sancharika Group Nepal.

Collective Campaign, Youth Advocacy Nepal, Democracy and Election Concerns, Informal Sector Service Center (INSEC), Social Mobilization and Awareness Raising Group, National Election Observation Committee (NEOC), Human Rights and Social Transformation Campaign, International UNHR Council, Women's Law and Development Forum have been granted permission to observe. Similarly, Samriddhi Aadhar Nepal, Women's Service Organization, World Consumer Federation and Academic Student Council will be allowed to observe the upcoming election.
