Receiving the annual report of the National Security Council, President Ram Chandra Poudel has suggested to the government to work in a way that does not affect the elections.
President Ram Chandra Poudel has advised the government to focus its full attention on the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
At a program held at the Presidential Palace, Sheetal Niwas, on Sunday, while receiving the annual report of the National Security Council for the fiscal year 2081/82, the President suggested that the government work in a way that does not affect the elections, said his press advisor Kiran Pokharel.
President Poudel had also instructed security agencies, including the Nepal Army, to pay more attention to security arrangements than before .
Prime Minister and National Security Council Chairperson Sushila Karki had submitted the annual report of the National Security Council for the fiscal year 2081/82 to President Poudel. On the occasion, President Poudel expressed confidence that the National Security Council would discharge its responsibilities more effectively in the coming days by assessing the security challenges that have arisen in the current situation and those that may arise in the future.
