The annual report of the National Security Council has been submitted to President Ram Chandra Poudel.
The report was submitted in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki at a special program organized at Sheetal Niwas on Sunday.
After meeting President Poudel, Prime Minister Karki formally handed over the National Security Council report in accordance with Article 266 (3) of the Constitution of Nepal.
It is reported that high-ranking officials of the security agencies also participated in the program.
The report covers issues related to Nepal's contemporary security situation, border security, internal peace, order and national interest.
The interim government has expressed its commitment to addressing security challenges and making the national security policy effective.
President Poudel, while receiving the report, praised the government's efforts to strengthen national security.
