The government signed an agreement with groups including the Gen-G Movement Alliance, the Council of Gen-G (Sudhan Gurung Group) and the Gen-G Front (Raksha Bam Group) on Wednesday evening. The agreement was signed by Prime Minister Sushila Karki on behalf of the government and Bhoj Bikram Thapa, a member of the martyr's family, on behalf of Gen-G.
The agreement between the government and Gen-G was prepared by representatives of the government and Gen-G. Surya Dhungel and others were appointed as the drafters of the agreement on behalf of the government and senior advocate Raju Chapagain on behalf of the Gen-G group.
The final draft of the agreement states in the preamble that the government will move forward by assimilating the relevance and legitimacy of the Constitution of Nepal issued by the Nepali people. Similarly, it is mentioned that the need to strengthen federalism, local autonomy and decentralization based on the principles of good governance, inclusiveness and public participation, and to implement education, health, employment, housing, land, language, culture, gender and collective rights, and entrepreneurship, innovation and exploration should be the main priorities of the state's future policies and programs is emphasized.
