The all-party meeting called by Prime Minister Sushila Karki has concluded. The discussion held in Baluwatar on Friday was attended by Election Commission officials, security agencies, and political party leaders.

In the discussion, Acting Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari briefed the Election Commission that the parties and the government have made much progress in the election preparations than expected. Similarly, the security agencies have also identified security threats that could affect the election and urged people not to be suspicious. 

Prime Minister Karki sought cooperation from the parties, saying that the government is not in a position to delay holding the election on 21 Falgun. 

In the meeting, UML, Congress, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and RPP, including the party, said they are ready to participate in the election but demanded that voting be done in a safe and fear-free environment.
