Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has informed that 4,552 prisoners are currently absconding across the country.
Inaugurating the Sudurpaschim Province-level security seminar jointly organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of Sudurpaschim Province on Tuesday in Dhangadhi, Aryal said that among them, there are very few cases of duty-related and heinous crimes.
Minister Aryal also said that the government has already brought back a total of 727 weapons. Stating that the main task of the government is to hold the election on the announced date in a fearless, clean, and free environment, he added, "Do not spread doubts and confusion that the election will not be held when some weapons and escaped prisoners are still outside."
He said that the government and the home administration are working sincerely on peace and security, crime control, good governance, and the effectiveness and coordination of service delivery after the demands raised by Gen-G youth against misrule and unrest and the incidents of Bhadra 23 and 24.
Stating that the government has prioritized dialogue, dialogue and discussion, Minister Aryal said that he has listened to everyone without favoring or excluding anyone. Calling upon all political parties and citizens, Minister Aryal said, "The responsibility of building the country lies with everyone. Every citizen is a member of this state.
